How to Sell Your Infinix Phone in Kenya (2026 Prices)
Ask a buyer why they walked away from an Infinix and you will usually hear the same answer. The battery.
Infinix built its Kenyan reputation on big batteries and fast charging, and both take a beating. A Note that once ran two days now needs a top-up by four in the afternoon, and buyers have learned to ask. Fix your answer to that question and you have solved most of the sale.

Check what yours is worthProve the battery instead of describing it
Every listing says good battery. None of them mean anything, so buyers ignore the words and assume the worst.
Do this instead. Charge the phone to full, use it normally for a morning, then screenshot Settings, Battery, and the usage graph showing hours of screen time. Put that screenshot in the listing. You have now shown something no competing seller has shown, and the questions stop.
If the battery genuinely is tired, price it 2,000 lower and say why. A buyer who plans to replace the battery for 1,500 still gets a deal, and they will not come back angry.
GT and Zero keep money, Smart does not
The Zero and GT lines behave like proper mid-range phones. A GT 20 Pro holds around 25,500 against roughly 40,000 new.
The Smart line falls to the floor fast. A Smart 7 now sits near 6,000, close enough to a new budget phone that many buyers would rather have the warranty. Below about 6,000 you are competing with brand new stock, and you will lose. Sell Smart and Hot phones early or accept that they become hand-me-downs rather than sales.
Gaming phones carry an extra question. The GT line was sold to gamers, so buyers assume heavy use and hot running. If yours was a normal daily phone rather than a gaming machine, say that plainly.
Check the charging port before you list. Fast charging plus a loose cable wears the port until it only connects at one angle, and buyers test this within the first minute of meeting you.
Where Infinix phones actually sell
Your own county, mostly. Nobody travels across Kenya for a 9,000 shilling Hot 20. Listing on Mzuri puts your county in front of buyers browsing nearby, which matters more for budget phones than for flagships.
Nairobi shops around Luthuli Avenue buy Infinix stock daily and pay cash on the spot, roughly a quarter under private-sale value. Take that when speed beats money.
For a Zero or a GT worth over 25,000, be patient and sell privately. The gap between shop price and private price on those is large enough to justify a week of waiting.
Before you hand it over
Back up, then wipe it using the Android wipe guide. Remove your Google account before the factory reset, or the buyer hits a locked setup screen and the sale collapses on the spot.
Confirm the IMEI is clean with the IMEI check guide. Buyers ask for this more than they used to, and having the answer ready marks you as the seller worth dealing with.
Meet in daylight somewhere busy, and wait for the M-Pesa confirmation to arrive on your own phone before the handover.
